life purpose

I believe strongly in the majority of happy people in this world know or either have a strong idea of what their life’s purpose is and how to fulfill it. This is by no means an easy task. To know without a shred of doubt why you are here on this earth is not something most people can answer right away. Most have to think about it and it’s their hesitation that gives them away. If you need to really think about what your life purpose is, then you really don’t know. I wondered and bounced around for years not knowing what my life’s purpose was and I can relate to being extremely frustrated most of the time.

It’s no fun not knowing why you exist. Why you are here occupying space? Why, why, why indeed?

I took an exercise to figure out my life’s purpose and this means was a life saver for me. There is no name for this method and I took it from a book written by Dr. Wayne Dyer. Dr. Dyer is a new-age thinker – most would say – he believes god exists in us all and the soul or sprit wants and needs just as much as we crave food every day. We must feed our souls. The exercise is simple.

Research the day you were conceived and the day you were born. What was going on in the world? Why would have been conceived and born on those specific days? You’re answers lye in our world’s historical records. Technology allows us to go back in time and recall events on a whim. The internet was my helpful tool in my quest. I found some really interesting events. For example, on the day I was conceived The Watergate hearings were televised and 85% of our nation’s televisions were tuned in to the Senate Commission hearings. The exact day I was conceived. On the day I was born PFC Robert K. Preston stole a helicopter U.S. Army helicopter and landed it on the White House lawn. He was upset over not being allowed to continue training to be a helicopter pilot, and staged the incident to show his skill as a pilot. It was also suggested that reports of Preston’s actions inspired Samuel Byck to attempt to crash a passenger airplane into the White House on February 22, 1974 – five days after I was born.

These events that occurred during my conception, birth and subsequent days after my birth are an example of people’s lack of ability to forgive. PFC Preston’s lack of forgiveness for not being able to complete a life-long passion, our country’s inability to forgive a President that lied and cajoled his way into a second term; and Samuel Byck’s audacity to plot a revenge scheme on our countries President because of his lack of forgiveness. All of these events are centered on forgiveness. I am a forgiving person, always have been and always will be. People have told me I forgive too much and to my detriment; but I believe in people and their willingness for self-improvement even if they don’t believe it themselves. We all need and want to repent sometimes we just need a little motivation.

Why am I here on this earth? Why did I experience my life exactly the way it’s been laid before me? I need to teach people how to forgive. I must reach out and spread the word that not only is forgiveness necessary – it’s divine. I know my life’s purpose, do you?

Have a great day and God Bless.
