The last three days have been extremely tough. I do not recommend being the sole person watching your children during a long fast. At times, I wanted to shrivel into a ball and sleep off some of the inconveniences – hunger pangs, irritability, lightheadedness and hiccups. Getting hiccups during a fast is abundantly painful. I should repeat this again.
Getting hiccups during a fast is abundantly painful.
Hiccupping with an empty stomach and a bladder full of water creates a feeling of wanting to die. The experience was no fun. In fact, I have limited my water intake from a gallon and half to just a gallon a day because of this incident. I rid myself of these hiccups by meditating and practicing my breathing techniques. Yoga has benefitting me in several other ways as well.
I’ve learned to slow my thoughts down. I now have a mantra that I repeat to myself to bring my mind back into the moment. I recommend everyone practice and live a yoga lifestyle. It’s very beneficial.
