I think when you're a kid, an hour can feel like forever. It's visiting someplace new or doing something different that is the good thing.

Still, a one hour field day with bottled water seems too short! You're right, it should be a half or full day off from school.

what? seriously?

my girls field day was all day, so from 9-2. they were wiped out! but we all had such a great time.

granted now it's all about doing teamwork things instead of competing against each other but i spent half the day with ems half with boo and we all sat under a tree and had lunch.

definitely something worth taking off work for.

at least she got to have you there to spend it with.

it's like the schools trying to get rid of recess?? my kids aren't allowed recess on the days they have gym? even the kindergartners.

and they wonder why the kids have a hard time focusing all day in class.

sheesh.
